We're back

Group projects seem to be enjoyable but sometimes they can really stress me out. More often then not I do majority of the work in a group project and stress about it, but I knew for this work I wanted to be in a group. My first day in this class I worried about the projects and who I would be working with. I have transferred into this school due to the better education compared to my formal school, but I don't know many people and was worried I wouldn't make any friends. The first two weeks were difficult but I am glad to say that it has not been as hard as I imagined. This is a really big class and my only friends here are in A level, which worried me a lot for the projects. There are a few girls I sit by that I am friendly with, but I know I wouldn't work well with them. They are lovely but much too chatty and off task for me to be comfortable depending on them for work. I ended up getting seated next to Faith and Janiya and could not be more relieved. I instantly felt comfortable with them and enjoy spending my time in class with them. That being said, I do of course want to make sure I work with people that will contribute. Wonderfully so, it is easy to see that Faith and Janiya prioritize their academics and scholarly activities. Before the first group project was even brought up we were already chatting about working together. All of this played out perfectly and we worked on the commercial together with a breeze, so I know I want to work with them again for the music video. Janiya is really big on things to do with theater and would be a lovely actress for our commercial. I want nothing to do with being in front of the camera and just want to work behind scenes, so it is the perfect fit.  Everyone is very creative and we come up with ideas easily together, disagreeing on nothing. Each of us are exited to work together on the music video so I have no doubt it will get done. I am confident we will have more than enough time to complete it all. Our personalities and work ethics went well together for the commercial, I know we will be able to get everything done on time, and have fun doing so.

The end of production

 So production has finally stopped. I have to say, this has been quite the experience. From choosing my partner to adding the finishing touched to the title sequence, I had fun the whole way through. I'm so happy that I was able to go through this experience with my friend Wren. The filming process was definitely fun, but we had our challenges. Having to go back and re-film scenes was exhausting, but we pulled through. Editing was my biggest challenge. I worked on editing the film for a solid four hours straight one day. Over time I think I grew better at working my software. Being behind the camera,  however, is something that I will always enjoy. It was fun to play around with all the different angles and lighting. My favorite to shoot was for sure the birds-eye view shot. I had to sit on Zeke's shoulders in order to get the shot and fell over! production: changes made from film review

 After hearing all the input that Paola gave, it was time to make some changes. We had to start by re-filming some scenes. We had a lot filmed with day light, and decided to switch it all to the night. With the darker lighting throughout, the film looked much more put together. having to re-film was really tiring but in the end it was definitely worth it. While re-filming the scenes because of lighting, I worked on the shaky ones as well. We all had to work really hard on putting on our serious face for this to work. I was much steadier and you could really tell the difference. I also utilized the stabilization feature on iMovie, helping to stillness a lot. Next, I decided on a song. I never heard an email back so I went to look for music on a royalty free website. I got a song from the site https://artlist.io/category/92&59/dark&soul-rnb/, there was a song called "purify" by roniit and it fit the film very well. Filming and editing is finally complete! I am so relieved and exited to showcase Wren and I's hard work. I asked my friend Paola to review for me. She has taken this class before and is completing her second course this year. All of her work has been done very well and trust her thoughts and opinions. I knew her insight would help a lot and be very valuable. When she reviewed she said the loved the finished product! However, there were a few things that had to be changed. First off, there was no song, this I knew as I was holding off until a possible email back and just explained that to her. She mentioned that the scenes going right after each other had different lighting so they story line didn't match up that well. We filmed different scenes at different times, causing the film to not seem very consistent. Next, Paola was easily able to see the shakiness of film in some scenes.
