Genre Research: Joker

One great part about the Joker is its emphasis on the drama. An easy alert of the Joker character is his distinctive makeup. The movie uses his makeup, along with special effects makeup on many other characters. Makeup will definitely be a big element of our movie intro. Along with makeup, the characters costumes will also be taken into account. The characters in the joker are dressed rather normally for the day and age. In our piece, i see us also bringing looks out with makeup, but maybe creating more emphasis on costumes. Many scenes of this movie took place in a home, neighborhood or dark alley. This is a popular setting for drama movies. We are most likely going to have scenes filmed in these places. Throughout the film, point-of-view and close-ups were used. The use of these film techniques "encouraged the audience to identify with a character". This is exactly what we want in out film. We will definitely be using these film techniques in order to get pulled in and attached. The film was shot almost fully in low light. We aim for film intro to be filmed in low and dark lighting as well. There are a lot of prop drugs, weapons and alcohol being used in the film. Our film will contain similar props.
