Title research: Gattaca

1.  How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film?  Which ones?     There was a total of 18 title scenes, 20 including the two quotes at the very beginning. It started with the quotes then went to the main production company(Columbia), the production, who the film was by, finally the cast. They showed two cast members then the main title, Gattaca, then the rest of the cast. It is assumed that the two first cast members listed are the main actors. Then finally, the other important people that added to the film at the end. 2.  What connotations do the images carry?  ( how  do you they make you feel) The imaging at the start is most just blue screen. It shows something falling and bouncing around in the background. Then at the end you can see a main shaving his beard. The movie is starting at the end of the title sequence. Props- Since our commercial will be based on Apple, the multinational technology company, our props will consist of   electronics made by them. Products we will produce in the commercial are IPhones, IPads, AirPods, MacBooks, and Apple Watches.  Costumes- In our project we want to include all of our group members in our scenes. Our attire will consist of a variety of everyday clothes as Apple is a 24/7 brand used by millions of people across the world. Examples of clothing pieces like this could be blouses, jeans, pants, T-shirts, sneakers, and many more. With clothing we gladly do not have to be too restricted on what we wear. Genre Research: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

 We chose a drama movie. We are going for a bit more dark of dramas. This movie appeals to our type of drama. It is more serious and deep. This movie has dark lightening, substance abuse, serious scripts, and more. Dramas are supposed to make you feel something. This movie definitely does by using real life scenarios and intensifying them with the editing and filming style. The movie used a lot of slow editing and chose an editing style to go along with the music and along with the action in the movie. The movies uses a lot of flash backs and fade in and fade out editing from one scene to the other. The costumes were everyday clothes to make the movie seem more real, they also used everyday props(high school setting). A good similarity we have between our upcoming film and this one is the age gap.
